The U.S. Department of Education offers Direct Loans which have low interest rates, and, when used with discretion, provide an affordable option to meet the cost of a quality education.

Students will complete the Direct Loan E-MPN during the first year of attendance. Annual eligibility for Direct Loans will be communicated on the student’s financial aid award letter. Students must accept their loans online or sign and return a paper financial aid award letter to the Office of Financial Aid each year in order to accept or decline Direct Loan funds. Direct Loans and PLUS E-MPN forms must be completed by June 1, 2022, to ensure payment for fall semester expenses. All federal loans are certified for a full academic year (two semesters).
